Fill ‘er Up / Cover Up / Another Visitor

Saturday, Sandi was here early to come with me to go get some propane.  I spent two days last week trying to locate a propane company to deliver directly to the RV park.  No such luck.  The only way that they would is if it was 100 gallons or more.  My tank is no where that large.  The closest propane company is just two doors down from the park.  I had put every thing away to become road worthy on Friday.  She helped disconnecting everything.  I was going to leave all the outside stuff, but I was hoping to change spaces to find something easier for leveling, so Sandi put most of it in her car and left it at another site while we were gone.  It took all of fifteen minutes or so to get the propane.  I guess that the gauge on the tank reads less than what is in it, as it only took 9.1 gallons.  From there we went into town for gas.  It was reading near 1/4 tank.  So now I feel more comfortable knowing that if I had to leave, I would be prepared.

When we returned to the park we pulled into another site and discovered that it had only 30 amps and wouldn’t handle my two A/C units, so I moved back to my original site.  Everything is hooked up, but I haven’t leveled it yet.  It has been just too hot to get out there to do it.  Just hooking up the connections at 102 * was too much.  I had  get a chair before I collapsed due to the heat.  I was okay once I got into the MH with AC.  Sandi was right behind me to cool off too.

I finally ordered wheel covers from Walmart.com and took advantage of free shipping to the MH.  I didn’t have to pick them up at the store, however I ordered two set and will take the others back on Monday after PT.

A few days ago Angel got really excited and was going back and forth from the window over the sofa to the front window.  I just had to check it out and this is what I found.

I put it up on a stool so I could get a better picture.  Isn’t he a handsome fellow?  Then I put Angel out on her cable so that she could check it out.

I took video, but haven’t figured out how to post on my blog.  When Angel gave up on it, it headed for the field, but it couldn’t get past the fence, so I took it farther down where the fence is down and it can get down to a nearby creek.

                                                Bye Bye

That’s all that’s going on here,  Hope you’re keeping cool.

Thanks for visiting

  1. Getting propane was always an issue with the MH. There is a company that will deliver to our park in AJ and I had to use it when Jim was in Montana for doctor appts. Glad you're all gassed to go. Scooter would have been trying to pick the turtle up and carrying it around. Skitz would have been scared to death of it. So it's good that Angel got to see what it was and know it wasn't a threat to you. She is such a guardian for you.

  2. Hey, you're alive! Good to hear from you again. It sounds like you're enjoying your new home.

I like the turtle. Nice of you to put it close to the opening in the fence.

    Take care of yourself, Susan.

  3. Are you getting hitch itch? You have been there a long time. We sure are. Only 4 more weeks and we head east.

  4. Sounds like things are going well. That's a big turtle, Angel is such a little cutie, investigating but not hurting it. Nice of you to put it where it will be able to get past the fence.

I agree about the propane. It's a pain to even find a place sometimes. I've been in a couple of areas long enough that I know where I can drive to get propane, and I always write down the address of any propane location just in case I'm in the area again. I wish someone would write an app for propane locations.
