Just got a call from Publisher’s Clearing House to tell me that I have won $1,000,000.00. Now wouldn’t that be nice and solve all of my problems By now you might have guessed that it was a bogus call. PCH never calls to notify you of any winnings. After I got some names and phone #’s so I could call to verify if it was legit, I called PCH directly and the local police department to verify legitimacy. Of course, it wasn’t, so Monday I will call the PCH fraud line to give them the information that I have.
So this post is to put the warning out there. The rep at PCH told me that they always do their research 10 days before the award date when it will be a surprise to the recipient for any prize $10,000.00 or more. If it is under $10,000.00 the winner is notified by certified mail.
So Angel and I are waiting for the real thing.
Thanks for visiting
I hope you had a few minutes of dreaming about what you were going to do with $1Million!
ReplyDeleteSure, I do that every time I buy a lottery ticket. That one dollar buys me dreaming rights for 3 days.
DeleteI was thinking about getting a lottery ticket for tomorrow night. Probably won't get passed thinking about it. But it sure is fun to dream.
ReplyDeleteThis is really sad. We had an elderly relative who was scammed several years ago. When she called to tell me she had won the Reader's Digest sweepstakes but that she wasn't allowed to tell anyone, the first thing I told her was DON'T send them any money. Of course she already had sent $180 for "processing" fees! Grrr...why must people be so mean. Glad you didn't fall for it.
ReplyDeleteYea, my processing fee was $500.00. There would be no way of getting it back. According to the police, those monies usually get funneled back to finance terrorist activities.
DeleteWouldn't it be great to win a million dollars? You'd probably get around $500,000. I could easily live on that. :)
ReplyDeleteWe can always dream. We all think it will solve our problems, but in fact it just makes more :)
ReplyDeleteMom if you have to pay processing fees up front it's a scam. Please they can just take it out of the winnings.
ReplyDeleteGood for you on being so proactive Susan. A humurous thought.... if it were safe (which I know it's not), you could let them show up at your door and show them your cast. Tell them that came from teaching the last frauds a lesson. :)
ReplyDeleteI like how you think. She's right mom. I got one BAD A** Mama!
