Project Research and It's Finished

Today, off we went in search of clear bags for note cards and prints,  Mel of Sweet Scenes & Daydreams suggested a resource in yesterdays comment.  Thank you Mel.  I also checked Utrecht Art Supplies in Sacramento.(utrechart.com)  There are stores through out California and of course on line too.  They had "Krystal Seal" Self Sealing Art, Print & Photo Bags. There are 25 in each package.  The 5" x 7" was $5.29 and the 8" x 10" was $6.79.  Since I like instant gratification and tend to purchase from a store rather than online when ever I can, I bought 2 packages of each size.  I also went to several places to try to find paper stock for the prints.  I have the stock for the note cards, but have figure out how to set up my new printer to print them.  I will also need to get some mat board for display purposes.  I intend on only selling the prints.  I priced the precut mats, but since I have a mat cutter already I might as well cut them myself.  It has been a long while since I have cut mats, so I will have to practice.

I do believe that I have finally finished the BIG ONE.  I will have to live with it for a few days to be sure.  Now I have to figure out how to get it to church.  I don't know if I can get it into my van.  You can click on the picture to make it larger.  It's title is "Resurrection".

That took up most of the day, although I did some work on the spare bedroom.  With this project for the Talent Showcase, it will tell me what I will need to keep for when I am out there on the road.  I plan on supplementing my retirement income with selling my art work as well as doing custom work as well.  Social Security only goes so far.

Thank you all for your comments and compliments.  In answer to Barbara, "natural talent" is relevant, I guess that you can say it runs in the family.  I have seen some drawings that my mother did, but she never went farther than a few sketches.  I did major in Fine Arts in college and taught high school art and drafting in Chicago IL and Mesa AZ for a few years.  I haven't taught for over ten years.  Since then I have taken a few classes in acrylic and oil, but mostly teaching myself watercolor.   I have a lot to learn, that's another reason why I want to RV full time, to have the time to continue to paint and improve my craft.

I want to thank my new followers  and all the rest too for your interest and comments I appreciate each and every one.  I hope that you all have a wonderful week.

Thank you for visiting
