In Rehab

I have been in rehab since last Wednesday night.  It was a good decision to be here.  I'm getting the care and instructions that I need.  My days have been very busy, mostly in the morning and then having breaks as I need them. I have a team that all work together to determine the best path to take. Every Tuesday they try to come up with a tentative discharge date.

I'm working on Core issues, building strength and stability.  Goals are set, short term and long term. One was to make sure that I had a BM.  I know, TMI.   That finally happened after nearly a full week.  We were all getting concerned.  Just one of many successes!

Here it is Saturday and I get a visit from Sandi and Angel.   Angel was soooo happy.  I had to go outside of course, although it was a bit chilly.

This is just a short update.  I've given up on trying to post pics.
I hope that you are all having a great weekend.

Thanks for visiting

Susan and Angel

  1. Glad to hear that you are rehabbing. Keep with it. I think this was good too because they make it impossible to slack off which is, of course, what we all want to do. You'll be functioning well in all areas before you know it. Hugs!

  2. Glad your rehab is going well. Keep on keeping on!

  3. Pics aren't necessary. Your healing is! I'm glad that you got to see little Angel for a visit. Get well soon! We're thinking of you.

  4. Good news. Happy to hear you're getting the care you need.

  5. Glad to hear things are going so well. Appreciate the update. I bet Angel about went nuts when she got to see you. Won't be long before you're ready to go home and be with her.

  6. It sounds like things are going well for you. I'll bet your recovery will be fast, having goals to meet is always a good idea. Keep up the good work. :)

  7. Glad to hear you are doing well. Focused care in rehab sounds like a good plan to speed recovery

  8. Just got home from seeing mom... xray done on the other shoulder since she's having a hard time with it... just being cautious. She gets tired super quick so by the time I get up there in the afternoon she's already done 3 therapy sessions. She's being a trooper and putting up with me being the PITA to make sure she does what she needs to do to get recovered and meet her goals. So long for now...

    1. Xray came back negative as to no new problems. Well just have to see if it continues.

  9. Did you add the photos? I didn't see them last night, but I have better Internet today. I almost cried at the second one. So sweet. :)
