This was last week, outside my door,
Today, Sunny and hot!
Yesterday, was a very busy day. There are over 108 vehicles on the log sheets. I have lost a day somewhere, it all just runs together. In and out of the 5ver, or stay outside in the shade, of which there isn’t much of any, only under the bedroom, but then it is hard to see what’s coming and going, so I just listen for the bell alarm. I’m not putting out my awning as it is difficult for me to do by myself.
Yes it is extremely tiring especially from the heat. Just so that I don’t miss the alarm, I have been sleeping in the recliner. I t is kind of weird because I will see something out of the corner of my eye and it is a a big truck waiting to be let in, so I jump up to let them in, but when I get to the door there isn’t anyone there. I’m already dreaming about trucks and gates. ( 125, 250, 375, 500,) Yesterday, one of the truck drivers asked if I needed anything from the store,so I asked if he could bring me some ice. When he came back, he actually remembered and wouldn’t let me pay for it, Thank you Raymond, aka Rooster.
Then last night at nearly midnight, I did hear the alarm and went out to let him in, but I had taken my boots off and slipped down the stairs, hanging on to the hand rail, but couldn’t stop and went all the way down. Javier was there to help me up,but I hurt my right wrist.. I could move it and it didn’t feel broken, but I wasn’t sure, so I came in and put some ice on it. the company’s security guard happened to be checking out the rig, so he took a report and fixed it so that the gate is easier to open. I told him that I would wait until morning to see what I would do. I called Roger, my supervisor and asked if he could get an ACE bandage for me. He was out about a couple of hours later and wrapped it. He also gave me a first aid kit. I already had one, it just didn’t have the elastic bandage in it. I have kept ice on it most of the day. and I am able to still wright and type, albeit slower than normal, so it must not be broken, probably a bad sprain or strain.. It’s a good thing he brought that ice!
That’s how I kept the ice in place all day.
All of a sudden, I am getting all these text and FB messages wishing me Happy Mothers. Day. I thought that it was still Saturday. I hope that you all are enjoying this holiday and that if you can, you spend it with family, especially MOM.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY
Today it started out a little bit busy. I thought that it would have been busier, because they were supposed to bring the rig in today. They did. WOW is that thing humongous. It telescope out and should be somewhere around 120 feet high.
So far today, I don’t think that I have had 50 vehicles. But it is still tiring because of the heat and so little sleep last night.. From what I am told once the derrick is up and they start the fracking process, it will be nonstop, mostly water, sand and mud trucks.
This is the Fracking Tank.
That’s the update, ( 125, 250, 375, 500,)
Thanks for visiting
