Slow Today

                              DSC01316

That gate stayed closed most of the day,  I thought that it would get busier later in the day, but no, so far, only 8 vehicles came in today, not counting David to fill the water and diesel tanks and one other that came to the wrong gate and had to turn around.  That was it!!!

I’ve watched 5  or  6 movies. and caught up on my emails and blogging.  I did some researching on getting a booster for my phone and internet.  I really need to get something to improve my signal.  I was even able to get a nice long nap.

When I talked to Jaime, (correct spelling), he said that I can have deliveries here at the gate.and emailed the correct address and gave me the exact directions to give for them to deliver.  Now I will have to decide what will be the best booster for my situation.

I hope that you all have a great weekend.

Thanks for visiting

  2. I'm glad you FINALLY had a slow day!!! It's probably because of the holiday weekend. Everyone is probably having a BBQ. Too bad your out there otherwise I would bring the BBQ to you! Katelin and I are going to Chevy's for her double digit b-day tomorrow. We will be thinking of you. Love you mom! Have a great day!

    1. There are NO holidays in the oil fields. It's 24/7/365. It all happens according to what's happening at the well.
I'll be thinking of you too. Katie will have a great DD BD tomorrow. Enjoy the day.
      Love to you all.

  3. I actually got 7 1/2 hours of uninterupted sleep last night. That's a first in a long long time. Even normally I sleep only 5 hours at a time.

  4. Glad the new gate is working out for you. Sounds like it is a "perfect fit".

Here is the booster we bought at Best Buy. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Wilson+Electronics+-+Home+or+Office+Desktop+Mobile+Phone+Signal+Booster+for+Multiple+Users/9522493.p?id=1218138268758&skuId=9522493&st=cell phone booster&cp=1&lp=1
Works pretty well and not too complicated to set up either. You will need a PVC pipe (or similier) for a pole and I used ball bungees to temporarily attach the pole to our rear ladder. The cable from the antenna was ran through a window by our desk and we just filled the gap with a towel and duct tape.
The booster is wireless and has a pretty decent range and boosts up to 4 devices. Nearest Best Buy to you is probably San Antonio but they can also ship it straight to you.

    Good luck,

    Phil (and Rudee too!)
