Painting, One in progress, One finished

Today it was cooler, so I decided to work on the "big one".  I started this painting about three years ago, but life just got in the way and it got put away.  I've done a small one just to get an idea as to what I wanted to do, but it is changing. The theme is Baptism or Resurrection. I'm not sure which yet.  However it turns out, I need to finish it, the sooner the better.

The one on the left is just the under painting for those those asked to see it.    The one on the right is the one that I finished.

After I had some leftover Thai food for lunch, I took a ride just to see where Bass Lake Road went.  I thought it might be a "destination", but no such luck.  It wasn't much of anything.

I just got a call from my daughter in Phoenix,  If it is possible, she may take over my property later this year or early next year.   Hopefully that might work.  Time will tell.

Nothing more for today. Thank you all for your comments.  I really do appreciate each and every one of them.         I hope that you all enjoy your weekend.

Thank you for visiting

  1. Beautiful work! You are an accomplished artist as we can plainly see in your pics today.

    Have a good weekend.

  2. So Bass Lake road wasn't all that exciting. I'm sure there are many roads to try in that area.

  3. Love the paintings. You are so talented.

  4. Hey, Susan,
Is that the Bass Lake Road off Highway 50? If so, I did the same thing. One day I took it to see what Bass Lake was like, and there wasn't anything. Love your painting - wish I had that talent.

  5. Thank you all for your kind words.
In answer to Barbara, you also have a wonderful talent, it's just different. You're scrap booking is great, and yes it is the same road. I went left on Green Valley Rd. and missed an entrance to an area towards the lake above Folsom. I'll try that another day. I'm trying to find a place to paint.
